Wim Kerkhove is married to Carine Denys, the sister of Emiel.
Wim is a pig farmer and he has a lot of room to keep pigeons.
He loves all animals.Gradually he got interested in keeping pigeons.
He is racing under his name since 6 years.
Emiel helped him with the basic pigeons and coaches him.
A first success came in 2008 when he won 1st Provincial 5th National from IRUN 940 KM on the day.
The Number 5 seems to be his lucky number.
Emiel advised him to specialize on Barcelona.
In 2010 he sent 9 pigeons to Barcelona and got the 7th and 10th position and a total of 6 titles against 385 pigeons in the Fondclub Gistel.
In 2011 he sent 5 pigeons to Barcelona and won 7th 8th and an other position against 357 pigeons.
In 2012 he sent 15 pigeons and starts with 1st prize( 1 hour advance) and a total of 12 prizes against 285 pigeons in Fondclub Gistel.All 15 pigeons are home.
Of course the STAR is the B09-3115334 now called the “BARCELONA-CHAMP” he won:
His father is “BROER CLARA” B04-3004260 a beautifull blue white flight cock.Full brother to “CLARA” 1st INTERNATIONAL SAN SEBASTIAN HENS 2004 raced by REBECCA DENYS.
He is a grandson of the “WITNEUS” B90-4499260.He is the key pigeon in the pedigree.
As we think in the start the pigeons had to face a hot headwind like “tramontane” the line of the “Witneus” is very suitable for this difficult starts in the South of France.
An other grandson the “KLEINE MARSEILLE”was 1st National Ace Pigeon MARSEILLE-IRUN-CARCASSONNE 2006-2008 for Emiel.
The father of the “KLEINE MARSEILLE’, called “BUSH JR.” is the full brother of the grandfather of the “BARCELONA-CHAMP”
An other grandson “SUPER MARSEILLE”was 1st International Ace pigeon Marseille 2008-2010 and won 2nd International Marseille 2010 for ADAM GERARD and MURIEL
The mother is “ZUS KLEINE PRIMUS” B05-3173351 in her pedigree we read the names “BROER FYNEN”, “NESTSISTER GODIVA”, “SISTER EXPRESS” all the familiar names of the great Emiel Denys’ Barcelona stars.
Now the “BARCELONA-CHAMP” moved to the Emiel Denys’ breeding lofts, and Emiel is convinced he will be a great breeder and a head of a strong line.
Both Wim and Emiel enjoy the great success on Barcelona 2012.
